A blog entry with comments powered by your browser, JavaScript, the Mastodon API and ActivityPub.

How to add comments to any page

Simple ;) Just add three things to the frontmatter of any page or blog entry:

comments:
  host: social.wildeboer.net
  user: jwildeboer
  id: 110123734601997086

Where host is the hostname of your Mastodon instance, user is teh username on that host and id is the toot ID of the toot you want to use as the anchor for comments. Any and all replies to that toot will show up as comments, as you can see below.
